Determining the most effective method of targeted therapy for the treatment of oncological diseases

The Genetical center iVF Riga provides an opportunity for a patient diagnosed with an oncological disease to carry out a genetic analysis in order to determine the most effective method of targeted therapy, which allows a more precise and targeted effect on tumor cells.

What is required -> tumor biopsy / tumor tissue sample (FFPE) material to be delivered to the Genetical center iVF Riga (1 Zala Street, Riga)
When will you receive analysis -> within 2-4 weeks

What will be the answer like -> The answer will identify methods of targeted therapy that can be used to treat a specific site. Targeted therapy methods can be either available in Latvia or not. Those that are available in Latvia cannot always be paid for by the state. For this reason, genetic analysis includes fewer genes, but the information provided will be much more useful, since it will not only include already approved targeted treatments, but also answer the question of whether there is any medication that can be obtained through clinical trials and indicate if any of the treatments may be ineffective.

After the analysis, you can get a consultation with a chemotherapist oncologist who will explain the results and give recommendations for further treatment. Tumor tissue testing is carried out using the latest generation sequencing; analysis of results with interpretation. We propose to carry out the analysis quickly in order to not to delay the treatment process, as well as to explain the results obtained, which will help to improve the course of treatment.
